Is this course for you?

If any of these sound familiar, you're in the right place.

Pregnant woman scrolling on a tablet, searching for answers

You don't have the time or the energy to keep searching.

Finding information was never the hard part. Finding information you can trust is, and that costs hours you don't have.

Pregnant woman looking uncertain and deep in thought

You're second-guessing everything.

Is this normal? Should I be worried? Nothing ever settles, because nobody has explained the whole thing to you in order.

Pregnant woman scrolling a social media feed on her phone

Your feed is full of things you're apparently doing wrong.

A supplement you haven't taken. A rule you've never heard of. Most of it is content, not evidence, but the guilt is real.

The Hello Mama promise: 30 days to change your mind

We believe in this course enough to let you really try it. Watch up to half, and if you're not happy, request a refund from your orders page or just email us. Either way, within 30 days we'll refund you in full.

We ask one thing in return: tell us what was missing, so we can keep making it better for the next mama.

What You'll Learn

Feel calm about what's ahead

Understand your symptoms instead of googling them. What each one is, why it's happening, and which are worth a call.

Meet the hormones running the show. Once you know what they're each doing, your nausea, exhaustion and mood stop feeling random.

Know what's coming, not just what's now. All three trimesters, so nothing arrives without warning.

Know you're doing the right thing

Get the answer once, properly. Nutrition, supplements, movement, sleep, medication, travel and weight gain, settled.

Tell evidence from content. What genuinely matters, so you can let go of the rest without the guilt.

Take your mental health as seriously as your bloods. Anxiety, low mood, intrusive thoughts, and the shift into becoming a mother.

Walk into every appointment ready

Know what's about to happen. What they check and why, at each visit.

Understand every test before you're offered it. Bloods, scans, screening choices, all explained before you decide.

Ask the right questions, and understand the answers. Being informed is what lets you advocate for yourself.

What this course covers, and what it doesn't

This is pregnancy, from your positive test to 40 weeks. Your body, your baby, your antenatal care, and how to look after yourself along the way.

It does not cover labour and birth. The final module gets you started on your birth plan and explains why beginning it early tends to bring more calm rather than more anxiety, then hands you over. Labour, pain relief, interventions and the birth day itself are taught properly in the Birth Course.

We'd rather you knew that now than found out at 38 weeks. Join the Birth Course Waitlist →

You also get a comprehensive Pregnancy Symptom Guide, a Doctor-written reference covering common symptoms across all three trimesters. It doesn't just list them, it explains why each one is happening, what tends to help, and when something is worth raising with your care team.

The doctor behind the course

Dr Aimée Field, medical doctor and founder of Hello Mama

Dr Aimée Field

I'm Aimée, a medical doctor and the founder of Hello Mama.

I had a traumatic first birth and a difficult second pregnancy, and both times I felt very alone. Even as a doctor, I wasn't prepared for the emotional side of it, least of all for postpartum and life with a newborn.

That's why Hello Mama exists. I wanted to give mamas the fuller picture I wish I'd had, so you can feel prepared rather than blindsided.

I believe your mental health deserves the same attention as your physical health, right through pregnancy, birth and everything after. This course is built that way.

Everything in it comes from my clinical training and from having needed it myself.

What makes this course different

Why This Feels Different From Everything Else You've Read

One doctor, explaining the whole thing in order.

Every answer online opens two more questions. This goes start to finish, in sequence, from one qualified person.

It works wherever you're giving birth.

Most courses quietly assume one country's system. This teaches what each part of your care is for, so it makes sense anywhere.

No jargon, and nothing assumed.

Explained the way a well-informed friend would, if your friend happened to be a doctor.

The emotional side gets its own lessons, not a footnote.

The waiting. Matrescence. Intrusive thoughts. Feeling terrified when you're supposed to feel delighted.

Built for the energy you actually have.

Six minutes a lesson, each one standing alone. Watch while the kettle boils, or skip to the trimester you're in.

Comprehensive in a way most courses aren't.

Most antenatal courses cover the essentials and send you on your way. This one goes into the detail behind every part of it, so you understand what's happening & why.

Frequently Asked Questions

Who is this course for?

Anyone who is pregnant, or planning to be, and wants to understand what's happening rather than just be told what to do. It's written with first-time mamas in mind, but it assumes nothing, so it works just as well if this is your third and you realise you never really understood the first two. Partners are welcome and encouraged to watch.

How do I get the course after I buy it?

Immediately. As soon as your payment goes through, a "Go to course" button appears right there on the confirmation screen, so you can start watching without leaving the page.

You will also get an email within seconds with a "Start learning now" button that takes you straight to the first lesson.

There is no password to set up and no account to create. If you would rather check out quickly, Shop Pay and Google Pay both work.

If the email has not arrived after ten minutes, check your junk/spam folder, then email us at info@hellomama.family.

How do I get back to the course later?

Go to hellomama.family and sign in at the top right with the email you used to buy.

Then open My Courses from your profile.

The "Start learning now" email your received after purchase also takes you straight back, if it's easier to find.

Does this replace my antenatal appointments or my midwife?

No, and it isn't meant to. This is pregnancy education. It doesn't diagnose anything, it doesn't replace medical care, and it can't account for your individual history. What it does is help you understand your care so you can take part in it. Always follow the advice of your own care team, and contact them directly if you have any concern about your pregnancy.

Does it cover birth and labour?

No. This course is pregnancy up to 40 weeks: your body, your baby, and your antenatal care. The final module gets you started on your birth plan and explains why starting it early usually brings more calm rather than more anxiety, but labour itself, pain relief, interventions and the birth day are taught in the Birth Course. We're clear about this up front because it's not something you want to discover at 38 weeks.

I'm not an anxious person. I just want to know what's going on.

Then this is written for you. It isn't a course about coping with worry. It's a course about understanding pregnancy, which happens to be the thing that makes most of the worry unnecessary. It assumes you're capable and treats you that way.

How long are the lessons, and can I go at my own pace?

The average lesson is six minutes and most are between four and ten.

Watch one while your dinner's cooking, work through a module on a Sunday, or jump straight to whatever's happening in your body this week.

Can my partner watch it too?

Yes, please. Module 1 in particular tends to be the one that makes partners feel useful rather than surplus, and Module 3 means you've both got the same picture going into appointments.

Can I buy this for someone else?

Yes. Send a gift card and she can choose when she's ready. That way the course is registered to her, so her place is saved and she can get back in whenever she wants.

How long do I have access?

Two years from the day you buy, and probably longer. Any updates we make in that time are included, and anything you download is yours to keep for good.

We say two years rather than "lifetime" because no one can honestly promise forever. If we ever retire the course, you'll get at least 90 days' notice so you can save what you need. Full details are in our Terms of Service.

Why pay for this when apps and free videos exist?

Apps are good at telling you your baby is the size of a mango. They're less good at explaining why your hips ache, what your midwife means by fundal height, or what you're really being asked when someone offers you a screening test. Free videos can be excellent, but you don't always know who made them or what they're selling. This is one doctor, explaining the whole thing in order, with nothing to sell you at the end of it.

What if it's not right for me?

Watch up to half. If you're not happy, request a refund from your orders page within 30 days, or email info@hellomama.family and we'll do it for you. See the refund policy for full terms.

We ask one thing in return: tell us what was missing, so we can keep making it better.

Calm, confident and fully informed.

Tonight you could be reading a forum thread written by a stranger in 2019. Or you could be four lessons in, with the hormone thing finally making sense.

Full refund within 30 days if you've watched under 50% and it isn't for you.
